Due to growth and customer demand we are currently recruiting for a Senior Procurement Manager to join our team in Claremont, NC.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under general direction, will be responsible for leading the Americas procurement team for MRO and Indirect Spend by crafting and executing procurement strategies for each location (consisting of approximately $100 million in annual spend) ensuring it meshes with the regional strategy. Assumes the lead role for meeting regional and site KPI goals including contracted spend coverage, supplier rationalization, on time delivery, quality metrics and cost savings initiatives. Will assume an integral leadership role within the procurement organization in crafting strategies and executing KPI goals for MRO and Indirect Materials.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Develop category business plans in response to business needs and create category teams that span across CommScope facilities and business units to drive regional and global leverage. Responsible for category management for the Americas to produce multi-million dollar cost savings for the MRO and Indirect category.

  • Construct and communicate the MRO and Indirect strategy for the Americas to the organization while identifying new opportunities to support CommScope objectives. Analyze the regional MRO and Indirect category spend / supply base driving the development of the category strategic initiatives and meeting KPI objectives.

  • Serve as the regional lead for MRO and Indirect supplier opportunities / concerns as it relates to suppliers, time lines and contracts/agreement interpretation. Responsible for the review, coordination and administration of long-term and/or blanket purchase contracts at the corporate level in the company. Interprets contracts, organizes or processes correspondence with sub or prime contracting parties and monitors fulfillment of contractual obligations.

  • Ensure the timely negotiation of all agreements included but not limited to Strategic Sourcing Agreements (including the development of framework for productivity and quality plans), Memorandums of Understanding, confidential disclosures, consignment, etc. Facilitate / foster the negotiations of vendor agreements, encouraging compliance by both supplier and end users. Implement supplier value measurements to ensure suppliers are meeting CommScope requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A completed Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering or related field preferred with a minimum of 8 years of purchasing experience required. MRO and Indirect experience preferred.

  • Must have knowledge of all product lines and associated manufacturing processes under area of responsibility and extensive knowledge of product lines under area of procurement.

  • Successfully demonstrated contract and pricing negotiation skills required.

  • Well versed in cost/price analysis techniques.

  • Capable of writing special terms and conditions in view specialized procurement situations.

  • Capable of accurately analyzing supplier financial data, e.g. balance sheets and P&L statements to determine the financial viability of existing and potential supplier base.

  • SAP Experience preferred.

  • Certifications Preferred-CPSM or CPM.

  • Up to 25% travel required-domestic and international.
