Job Summary

Responsible for the overall management of projects for the filters business unit starting from B&P phase and responsible through successful product ramp at the production site.

Responsible for developing support services for internal and external customers. Programs consist of a series of related projects executed over a broadperiod of time designed to accomplish the broad goals of the business unit.

Incumbent will also be directly responsible for the management of cross-functional teams involved in various aspects of program support.

In addition has responsibility to make sure resources are used properly to support all projects at the development site. Has responsibility to mentor all project managers at a site to make the overall team stronger

Role and Responsibilities

Works closely with internal teams to define program/project requirements and develop program/project plans. Assembles directly - or through subordinate personnel - multiple program/project teams.

Is ultimately responsible for ensuring the activities of the various teams progress on schedule. Resolves problems and issues that fall outside program procedures and guidelines.

Defines project requirements, scheduling, cost and expected outcome. Submits periodic reports and status updatesto senior management as requested.

Defines projects required to improve overall organizational performance. Prepares financial reviews for assigned program and presents information to senior management and project team personnelas required.

Responsible for implementing new processes and ensuring they are followed.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in operations management, business or other related field (directly related experience may be substituted for education)

5 to 10 years of previous project management experience

Demonstrated ability to manage, lead and organize cross-functional teams

Advanced PC skills using Microsoft Office products and MS Project; prior working experience with SAP preferred

Strong analytical, interpretative and problem solving capabilities

Excellent verbal/written skills

Competent in managing competing priorities, negotiating with various levels within an organization, and providing customer service

Ability to travel to customer offices, job sites and other CommScope facilities with little to no advanced notice
