We are currently recruiting for a qualified, interested and available Demand Planner for an opportunity located in our North America Region or CALA Region. Preferred location is Richardson, TX.
Responsible for Demand Planning within assigned BU/Region. Partner with Operations Management and PLM with the primary goal of balancing the competing objectives of maximizing customer service, minimizing supply chain costs and optimizing working capital.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:
Execute Global Planning activities by being the focal point of communication with the BU and Operations leaders
Design, coordinate and publish periodic reports pertaining to forecast / Inventory and Operations relevant to current business requirements
First point of contact for escalations
Coordinate Sales & Operations Planning Process in collaboration with PLM, Sales and Operations
Work with Operations to ensure capacity levels are managed in support of the master production schedule
Facilitate collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain standardized operating procedures
Manages inventory levels in assigned regions and business units working closely with operations, sales and product line management for supply chain optimization
Engage in NPI activities with Engineering / Sales and PLM to support speed to market initiatives
Measure, support and develop local entity planners
Manage system parameters for entire Product Life Cycle
Work closely with procurement and vendors in managing contract manufacturing products where applicable
Balance global supply and capacity to provide highest level of customer service and operational efficiency
Ability to travel globally
A completed Bachelor’s Degree (or international equivalent) and 10+ years of related experience
Background in master scheduling, forecasting, procurement and planning
Strong communication, team work and presentation skills
Strong analytical abilities
Able to work flexible hours and travel internationally
Demonstrated ability to effectively interact and influence personnel of various levels and disciplines
Self starter, high level of personal accountability, and innovative individual
Knowledge of production control systems, specifically SAP highly desired
APICS (American Production & Inventory Control) certification preferred. CPIM (Certified Production and Inventory Management) and CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) certifications are desirable
Work experience in the assigned BU/Division desired
