Job Description

For our Connectivity Solution Center of Excellence (CoE) in Shakopee, MN, USA we are looking for an experienced packaging engineer to support our R&D and NPI teams in the development of smart and innovative packaging solution that will support our products. CommScope has an extended portfolio of products, ex. copper and fiber cable, patch panels, connectors, etc. The candidate will report to the Global Manger Packaging Engineering.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • (Co) lead the implementation of new packaging introduction together with R&D and Product Management and continuous packaging improvement projects.

  • Support engineers and operators within the plant on packaging deployment.

  • Coordinate with the plant managers and support projects on packaging.

  • Identify/recommend ways to reduce cost and improve quality of all processes and provide necessary training and counseling to employees.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant quality standards in the different regions.

  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with external vendors and contractors in cooperation with procurement and quality and improve the efficiency process through incorporation of new technology.

  • (Co) drive continuous improvement within Packaging by challenging existing practices and managing change effectively.


Master in relevant discipline, preferable in packaging technologies

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a multinational environment

  • Experience in different packaging material as well packing processes

  • Able to support & lead complex local & global packaging projects

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt quickly to new international environments

  • Ability to travel (50%) to our production locations worldwide
