Senior Process Technician - Supervisor Process Development Lab

The successful candidate will join the Global Manufacturing Engineering team as Process development technician.

He/she will execute process and equipment development test activities as well as coordinate activities of the new process development test laboratory in Kessel-lo, Belgium.

This position requires a self-motivated individual with a broad interest and experience in the domain of process development and improvement. He/she has to understand and manage of a variety of manufacturing processes and equipment, execute systematical process experiments and generate professional test reports, including data interpretation and analysis.

Responsibilities:

· Define and prepare test plan in collaboration with the Process development engineers.

· Execute process experiments

· Write test reports with analytical results and evidence based conclusions.

· Order materials, tools and spare parts, required to execute experiments and maintain lab equipment.

· Review and prioritize testing requests from different projects and teams , in line with business priorities.

· Coordinate & supervise lab activities of other technicians, junior engineers and graduate students

Qualifications:

· Minimum Technical Associate (A2) or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Automation engineering.

· At least 5 to 10 years of working experience with industrial process development and/or improvement.

· Knowledge in 2 or more technical domains such as mechanical or structural design (CAD) , electrical engineering, material processing , automation or robotics programming etc….

· Knowledge of statistical tools & test methods is a plus (basic statistics, 6 sigma Greenbelt, DoE, MSA, Cpk studies,…)

· Professional knowledge of English (Written & Spoken), other languages are a plus.

· PC literate (MS Word-Excel-PPT-Outlook)

· Awareness of process related health & safety aspects in and industrial environment

· Open and able to continuously explore and learn new processes and technologies, both theoretical as hands-on

· At least 1 year of experience in leading or coaching technicians and/or trainees

· Well organized in maintaining project files, test reports & documents.
