We are currently recruiting for a Senior Tax Analyst for an opportunity located in Westchester, IL.
Under direction of the Tax Leadership Team, the position oversees specified income tax accounting and domestic compliance functions. The position will provide a rewarding experience with an opportunity for growth in a dynamic and growing company, with a team of seasoned tax professionals.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:
Assist with completion of the ASC 740 tax accounting and reporting for the company, including the preparation of quarterly income tax provision items, tax account reconciliations, tax basis balance sheet items and documentation of uncertain tax position.
Preparation/review of federal, state and local jurisdiction income tax returns.
Analyze, reconcile and project state franchise tax liabilities.
Prepare annual true-up entries for filed Federal and State and local income and franchise tax returns.
Assist Managers, Directors and VP, Tax Compliance with special projects such as R&D study, Section 199 study, state credit analysis, and other projects throughout the year as required.
Assist in defense of domestic federal and state tax inquiries and income tax audits.
Analyze fixed asset addition/disposal detail in tax books.
Prepare property tax returns and related compliance work papers.
Research and interpret tax law, regulations and case law to apply to specific transactions and fact patterns.
A completed Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required. A CPA and or MST a plus.
A minimum 4+ years of federal and state income tax and tax provision experience required.
Public accounting a plus.
CPA certification preferred.
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Aptitude for simplifying processes using both technology and practical experience.
PC skills with strong excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, and Power Point.
Strong working knowledge of One Source compliance and OIT provision software or similar database software platform a plus.
Experience with SAP financial accounting software and HFM financial reporting software a plus.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong analytical, organizational and technical.
Ability to work with changing priorities and deadlines
Proven to be a team player
Works well with complexities
