JOB SUMMARY:

Plan the purchase of buy to stock items in accordance with customer demand and the business objectives. Ensure that service levels and inventory objectives are maintained for third party purchased items. Serve in a lead role in the pick and pack operations ensuring proper order fulfillment and quality to meet customer expectations. Maintain customer and vendor consigned inventory associated with wireless cable products.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform assigned planning/scheduling, inventory, organizational and procedural activities to ensure the highest level of operational success and service.

  • Lead the activities, applications, and procedural controls to successfully achieve accurate inventory, order management, and communication requirements.

  • Serve as lead for the receiving and inventory control for buy to stock items.

  • Purchase supplies for shipping department.

  • Monitor consignment inventory reports for both customer and vendor consigned inventory related to wireless cable products.

  • Conduct periodic inventory audits at customer locations.

  • Process weekly usage reports for consignment programs.

  • Work with purchasing to manage vendor relationships to achieve service objectives.

  • Work closely with transportation, manufacturing and other shipping operations.

  • Support, enhance, or resolve unsatisfactory issues stemming from customer, product or business transactions related to assigned areas of responsibility to maximize value to the customer, process and/or company objectives.

  • Assist in the development, training, and implementation of improved management information systems and procedures by supporting the use, enhancement, or installation of business tools, applications, and communications.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma plus two (2) years of related experience in shipping, receiving and inventory control plus APICS or High School Diploma plus a minimum of five (5) years of related experience in shipping, receiving and inventory control or, Associates Degree with a minimum of two (2) years of related experience in shipping, receiving and inventory control.

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications and general PC skills.

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, high-paced atmosphere managing competing objectives.

  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of wireless products and customers.

  • Working knowledge of and experience with pick and pack operations.

  • Experience in managing customer and vendor inventory consignment programs.

  • Experience implementing shipping and warehousing systems and procedures.

  • Extensive knowledge and experience working with SAP is preferred.
