Due to growth and customer demand, we are currently recruiting for a Training Specialist to join our team in Claremont, NC.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Plan and deliver training programs for North Carolina personnel to insure identified skills and competencies needed to perform the job are acquired as efficiently as possible. Be responsive to ad-hoc training requests from supervisors and managers.

  • Work with Quality and Operations Management to assign and schedule personnel training.

  • Take a lead role in authoring and development of training procedures and related documents for all plant processes.

  • Continue to develop and maintain existing tracking system to monitor training levels and qualifications. Periodically review all training documents and update as necessary per TL/ISO and/or other requirements. Track necessary retraining and document completion accordingly.

  • Review and standardize existing training programs. Maintain and update programs to reflect new manufacturing practices, products, equipment, tooling, laws or regulations.

  • Communicate training schedules and timetables to all affected departments. Work with supervisors to identify training needs. Develop action plans to address targeted areas.

  • Take a lead role in the NEO

  • Perform all other duties as assigned by Manager with constant eye toward continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A completed Associate’s Degree required, with a Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • 2 years of fiber experience required

  • 1 year training or development experience (OJT, Assisted with Admin) preferred

  • Experience with presentation and computer training software is preferred.

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills required.

  • SharePoint experience preferred.

  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to accommodate training needs on all shifts
