Due to our continued growth and customer demand we are currently recruiting for qualified Material Handlers for opportunities located in Grand Prairie, Texas.
Under general supervision, trains to perform duties to insure the timely and proper movement of material in the stockroom, to the production floor, and outside raw material locations to support production, engineering, and customer orders.
Trains to operate and use forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, scales, CRT units, a variety of hand and power tools, and automatic storage and retrieval systems to complete required duties to stock and pull materials in a safe and orderly manner. Will learn appropriate stocking and order pulling procedures, location systems, loading/unloading techniques, and storage and handling methods.
Trained to work from work orders, route sheets, goods receipts, customer order documents and a variety of other related documentation concerning the movement of materials throughout the facility.
Trains to accomplish the following actions: Fill orders and requisitions for materials; records transactions to and from stock locations; verifies incoming materials for correct quantity and identification; transfers received and inspected materials into stock; prepares material receipt documentation for processing; pulls and delivers material from inventory to production and other locations; and loads and unloads vehicles.
Trained to check and maintain light duty and motorized equipment and air-powered packaging equipment. Report all necessary maintenance to supervisors (or coordinators).
May assist in recording and submitting inventory data of stockrooms and exterior storage locations to appropriate personnel or within SAP
May assist receiving and/or shipping clerks when or as needed.
Must obtain certification in skill blocks for Material Handler I. Will work to obtain skill block certifications required for Material Handler II.
Follow all safety regulations and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition. Wear appropriate PPE as required for the work area. Perform other safety-related duties as assigned.

Significant problems regarding meeting internal requirements; conflicting priorities; vendor problems; needs for new equipment or necessary repairs to equipment.
Supervisor - Receive work instructions and guidance.
Co-workers - Efficient completion of tasks; exchange information
Warehouse or Traffic Coordinators - Information regarding deliveries/shipments
Quality/Inspectors - Verify status of incoming shipments requiring stocking
Vendors - Exchange information
High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
Minimum one (1) year of general factory, warehouse, or material handling experience, operating fork lifting equipment, preferred.
Ability to read numbers and text accurately, to record data for inventory control, learn to use inventory system and types of inventory transactions, learn to operate material moving equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, scales, and related machinery.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos and interpret such documents such as safety rules. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to stand and reach with hands and arms. Position will regularly be required to walk; sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift, with assistance, up to 100 pounds.
