Summary:

Work with cross functional teams in the development of new or improved processes and method. Assist with the design of machine modifications and new components to eliminate root causes of process problems, prevent future causes of scrap and machine downtime, or to increase production output. Design changes may be self-directed or as a result of the process engineering team’s decision. Support mold production as needed.

Requirements:

High School diploma and 10 years of related experience or Associate’s degree with 5 years of related experience. Automation training and experience preferred (broad skills and knowledge in areas including digital electronics and process control, and programming skills in areas such as PLCs, Robotics, and Injection Molding). Computer skills required; SAP experience desired. Attention to safety, accuracy and quality is a must.

Duties:

  • Work with cross functional teams / engineering on existing and new processes.

  • Test and document work and results written and verbal.

  • Generate and maintain documentation for process set up.

  • Develop processes and train associates within the department per the Standard Work provided.

  • Assist engineering build of new products evaluating processes in order to validate or improve them.

  • Analyze the manufacturing process to insure quality products are produced with primary focus on the evaluation of non-conformances.

  • Assist other department process technicians with process troubleshooting problems involving machinery and equipment.

  • Communicate with manufacturing leadership to review production problem areas, special projects, and other items needing attention and follow-up.

  • Provide required technical process support to manufacturing department.

  • Lead technical projects with engineering support.

  • Assist in evaluating existing equipment improvements and new process equipment specifications.

  • Oriented to safety and continuous improvement.

  • Read and interpret prints.

  • Assist and support production as needed.
