Due to growth and customer demand we are currently recruiting for a Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability Specialist to join our team in Richardson, TX.
Provide support in overall Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability (CR&S) program including its global strategy, goals, initiatives and management system. The role involves conducting annual CR&S risk assessments at a corporate and facility level and identifying business risks and best practices; providing input to the annual audit plan of CommScope manufacturing facilities based on a comprehensive risk assessment process; conducting CR&S internal audits of CommScope manufacturing facilities, providing guidance on corrective and preventative actions; participating in customer CR&S audits and coordinating related activities including guidance provision to facilities and formal response coordination; providing input to customer requests, materiality assessment, annual Sustainability Report, CR&S Dashboard. Provide support in company compliance programs and initiatives, and to Corporal Legal team. Work independently under general supervision with the opportunity to demonstrate initiative and judgement.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct the annual CR&S risk assessment at a company/corporate level utilizing the approved tools/platforms (e.g. EcoVadis, QuEST) - prepare risk assessment questionnaire answers and gather supporting evidence including data security classification, identify red flags, submit for evaluation by 3rd party subject matter experts, communicate results and analyze feedback and propose actions to improve company's CR&S performance and eliminate and/or decrease the identified CR&S risks.
Manage the annual CR&S risk assessment process at a facility level utilizing the approved tools/platforms (e.g. EICC-ON, RBA Online, E-TASC) - distribute the self-assessment questionnaire (SAQ) to manufacturing facilities, provide guidance to facilities teams, gather and analyze facilities responses, follow up with facilities, identify and report red flags and inconsistencies to CR&S corporate team, submit/upload the completed SAQ's to the approved tool/platform to obtain risk scores, communicate risk scores to CR&S corporate team and facilities, provide support to facilities to improve their CR&S performance and decrease CR&S risk.
Internal and Customer Audits:
Assist in management of the CR&S internal audit process - maintain and update audit checklist(s) and participate in audits planning and scheduling.
Conduct CR&S internal audits, identify non-compliance, opportunities for improvement and best practices, complete reports and communicate audit results/findings.
Propose CAPA, formalize CAPA plan and follow up on progress and completion with facilities, maintain records in CR&S Management System.
Exercise discretion in the review of records to ensure confidentiality of all matters that come to the auditor's attention.
Assist in organizing customer CR&S audits by developing and/or updating presentation materials about company CR&S program and processes, providing guidance and training to local teams (EHS, HR, Legal).
Participate in customer CR&S audits when needed, discuss audit findings - reach agreement with auditors, propose CAPA and work with facility team (EHS, HR, Legal) to finalize CAPA plan, follow up with facility team and gather evidence for CAPA plan (maintain records), communicate a formal response to customer and facilitate follow up communication to ensure audit findings closure. Report audit findings and highlight any red flags and/or non-compliance to CR&S corporate team, and provide a regular update on CAPA progress.
Review, provide input/feedback and/or request response from relevant departments to customer requests (e.g. contract review, RFQ, RFP, RFI, etc.), log requests and track progress, consolidate input and feedback when needed, analyze overall response and report any red flags before providing a formal response to a requestor (internal, eternal).
Assist in preparing data and information for the internal and external communication on CR&S matters - ESC meetings, CoRe Team meeting, hardcopy newsletter, bi-weekly electronic newsletter, intranet pages, internet pages (company website), communication to facilities, communication to corporate departments.
Assist the CR&S organization leader in implementing the CR&S strategy, goals and initiatives across the whole company, maintaining and updating CR&S Management System including relevant records, communicating company CR&S performance to internal and external stakeholder.
Assist in annual strategic and tactical planning which includes budget review, communication and awareness structure and tools, brainstorming for new initiatives/programs including employee engagement and community involvement, etc.
Develop and maintain CR&S training and awareness program for various stakeholders.
Provide input for the CR&S Dashboard published quarterly - data/information about company performance and progress towards company goals and targets.
Monitor development in regulatory requirements and industry trends worldwide and provide recommendations.
Perform other duties as assigned focused on CR&S, Human Rights, compliance programs, EHS, EPC and Corporate Legal.
Pursue the continuous improvement of our tools, practices, methodologies and policies & procedures.
Develop and maintain productive relationships with management, CR&S team and other departments, facility teams through individual contact and meetings.
Pursue professional development opportunities, including internal and external training, utilizing membership of professional organizations and sharing information with co-workers.
A completed Bachelor's Degree in related field required and five (5) plus years’ experience with Corporate Responsibility, Sustainability, EHS, Ethics Compliance, Employee/Labor Relations, Human Rights, Community Involvement, Management Systems (ISO, OHSAS, SA).
Internal auditor certification (ISO, OHSAS, SA) preferred.
Ability to function effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Ability to juggle multiple priorities and maintain the proper balance between meeting the business needs and managing the available resources.
Ability to interpret data and trends and present data/results/output using software applications.
Data oriented for conducting audits, evaluating risks and creating reports.
Strong planning, analyzing, interpretation and documentation skills.
Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
Effective oral and written communication skills in a variety settings and styles.
Working knowledge of Microsoft products and ability to utilize other tools/online platforms.
Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with a diverse group of staff professionals across departments/organizations and continents.
Strong interpersonal skills - ability to network professionally inside and/or outside the company.
Frequent travel expectation - domestic and foreign locations.
Project management experience a plus.
