As a Process Improvement Manager at our Shakopee location you will be responsible for driving process improvement activities such as driving productivity, reviewing labor utilization opportunities and improving quality within the Global CCS manufacturing and distribution sites globally. This position will work with the Operations, Inventory and Quality teams to drive these operational efficiencies. You will work with all levels within the organization to provide individual associate guidance to management review of coordinated activities.
Drive operational efficiencies to improve labor productivity, quality and inventory accuracy.
Manage the Kaizen Program within the facility and lead Kaizen events/blitzes.
Identify and lead projects resulting in process improvement and cost-out opportunities.
Continuously monitor productivity and utilization of all associates providing reporting as needed.
Increase direct labor utilization within the facility.
Problem solve issues limiting the capacity of the facility.
Reduce variation within work tasks to improve process efficiency, quality and inventory accuracy.
Implement capital improvement projects as directed.
Manage changes to the facility layout to improve flow and throughput.
Develop and maintain value stream maps of all functions within the facility.
Develop best practices for each operation within the facility and train across all shifts.
Provide guidance into the capital budget for improvement projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Completed bachelor’s degree in related curriculum
8+ years of manufacturing experience
Knowledgeable in Six-sigma techniques and Lean Manufacturing
Ability to lead teams of engineers in problem solving activities
Strong verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Experience working in a global function
Fluent in Spanish (Desired)
Six-Sigma Black Belt Certification
Fiber optic termination experience.
Experience in SAP systems.
- Around 50% travel required both domestic and international.
