General Summary:

The Project Manager takes the lead over development project teams and owns schedules and budgets, taking into consideration the team member input. He/she manages and ensures critical processes within the company from the early start to the fully released production (new product stream) and engages with internal project stakeholders to turn projects into series products within the constraints of timing, product requirements, profitability and budget (cost).

The Project Manager is fully accountable to the Core Team for his/her projects. Incumbent is required to provide leadership within the project team, responsible for execution of development projects in line with agreements/contracts within the Core Team and overall business unit strategy. The PM manages all issues and roadblocks within a project and affects every part of the organization involved in a project execution.


  • Lead the project team:

  • Defines and leads the project team in completing all project phases, deliverables and activities.

  • Develop project schedules and lead the team to execute to the plan. Effectively apply PMO methodologies to keep projects on track and to enforce project standards.

  • The project team consists of, but not limited to, Purchasing, Operations, Sales, Product Management, Engineering and Supply Chain.

  • Management of all project activities and decision-making forum between project gate reviews.

  • Ensure common understanding within the project team with regards to objectives and goals.

  • Achievement of all design and project objectives. Resolution of conflicts within the project team.

  • Responsible for development projects:

  • Management of project budget and cost requirements.

  • Monitoring of project forecasts and corresponding impact to project justification.

  • Accountable for detailed work plan of each project phase.

  • Resolution of staffing/resource issues together with functional managers.

  • Project tracking relative to project contract with Core Team.

  • Lead and coach project teams in the use of peer reviews, team meetings, requirements workshops, FMEA, DFX, and DFMEA tools to mitigate costs, risks and schedule.

  • Minimize exposure and risk on projects through contingency planning and risk mitigation.

  • Coordination with Core Team and Management

  • Accountable to the Core Team.

  • Presents development projects at gate reviews.

  • Requests and is responsible for project budgets.

  • Coordinates design reviews.

  • Resolves project and functional conflicts.


  • Completed Bachelor's degree (Technical or Business Administration focus preferred)

  • Two (2) plus years’ experience in a similar industry

  • Two (2) plus years managing projects with 500+ engineering hours that take a new product idea from concept to medium/high volume production in manufacturing with $1 Million+ revenue generation.

  • Proven and demonstrated project planning expertise.

  • Solid understanding of and experience with a New Product development processes within and governed by the organization. Has experience taking a physical product from idea, to concept, prototype, processing and testing working with design, operations, finance, quality, procurement, and product management.

  • Solid understanding of financial data and project financial indicators.

  • Broad understanding of all business processes affecting project execution.

  • Strong influencing and communication skills.

  • Proven skills in leading, developing, influencing and managing teams.

  • Able to check both financial and technical feasibility of different opportunities.

  • Good judgment and timely decision making skills.

  • Competent negotiator with willingness to engage in constructive conflict.

  • Ability to effectively manage both horizontally and vertically; communicate with all management levels in the organization.

  • Initiator/motivator; pro-active attitude

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both in written and verbal form.

  • Fully acquainted with Microsoft Office and Project Management applications (MS Project…)
