  • Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection and adaptation or modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria.

  • Devises new approaches to problems.

  • Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of various factors. Acts as a key contributor and/or technical leader within a project team.

  • May direct or coordinate work of operators, technicians and other non-exempt personnel.

  • Performs research, design and development independently in such areas as mechanical, materials, heat transfer.

  • Design and development of connectors, hardware and cable.

  • Conducts feasibility studies and tests new modified designs. May direct support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design simulation, design testing and prototype fabrication.

Job Qualifications

  • 8-12 years of relevant work experience with a BS; 5-8 years of relevant work experience with a MS involving the use of Mechanical Engineering principles and practices, as well as knowledge of typical manufacturing processes; with filter design experience

  • BS in mechanical engineering or related four (4) year technical degree.

  • 6-10 years of mechanical structure design experience for Communication equipment.

  • Skill ANSYS to stress & tolerance analysis,

  • Knowledge of thermoplastic and thermo set materials and processes; machining, casting, forging.

  • Proficiency in solid modelling software – SolidWorks - and SAP preferred;

  • Must possess good oral/written communication skills;

  • Requires the ability to regularly contact, influence and negotiate with both internal and external individuals on complex issues; and

  • Must be able to respond to inquiries and complaints with tact and diplomacy.
